Shoot Locations: On-Site vs. Studio/Location Rentals
-
On-Location (Your Business): Filming at your storefront, office, restaurant, or warehouse is standard for Product, Startup, and Enterprise tiers, keeping production grounded in your authentic environment.
-
Off-Location Studios & Soundstages: If your concept requires a controlled environment—such as a photography studio, soundstage, standing office set, or cyc-wall—this is an additional cost outside the base rate (unless booking the Flagship tier, where studio fees are already bundled into your total project quote).
-
The Reality of Studio Time: Rented facilities operate on strict hourly access windows. Gear setup and pack-down happen inside your booked window, not before or after:
-
First 45 Minutes: Equipment load-in, power distribution, camera building, and lighting setup.
-
Next 2 Hours & 45 Minutes: Active filming and on-camera interviews.
-
Final 30 Minutes: Striking gear, packing trucks, and cleaning the space to prevent venue overtime charges. Always reserve your studio hours with this buffer in mind so your active on-camera time remains protected.
On-Camera Talent: Staff vs. Hired Actors
-
Team Members & Real Customers: Included across all tiers. Filming authentic employees and satisfied clients is the most cost-effective and relatable route for most businesses.
-
Hired Professional Actors & Voice Talent: Professional talent is not included in base starting rates for Startup and Enterprise tiers. If your script calls for specific actors, models, or professional voiceover artists, we will handle casting and contract coordination, packaging the fees directly into an itemized quote. For Flagship productions, all talent acquisition is bundled automatically.
How Shoot Days Work:
The 8-Hour Rule For Enterprise and Flagship tiers, a full production day is capped at 8 hours maximum door-to-door:
-
Hour 1: Load-in, equipment staging, camera assembly, and lighting setup.
-
Hours 2 through 7 (Filming Window): Up to 6 hours of rolling camera time for interviews, product b-roll, operations, and scripted scenes.
-
Hour 8: Equipment breakdown, striking lighting setups, and redundant off-site file backups. (Note: Product Shoots run up to 3 hours; Startup Commercials operate on a condensed schedule of up to 5 total hours). We Only Use the Time We Need These hour caps are daily maximums, not minimum requirements. If all planned shots, interviews, and b-roll on the schedule are captured to standard in less time, we wrap early. We respect your business hours and staff workflow and will not tie up your workspace just to burn the clock. Scheduling: Days vs. Locations Tiers list the maximum production days available (e.g., "up to 2 days"). We only schedule the days necessary to execute your concept effectively. If your business operations, interviews, and b-roll can be shot smoothly in a single day, that is all we book. If lighting transitions or multiple locations require a phased approach, we divide the shoot across distinct days to maintain visual quality.
Directorial Roles on Set
-
Product Shoot & Startup Commercial (Solo Operator): Bryce Howard (or subcontractee) operates the camera while guiding presentation and timing. This setup is built for lean productions where you already know your talking points or simply need visual b-roll captured cleanly.
-
Enterprise & Flagship Commercial (Dedicated Director): An independent Director is on set without camera duties. Their sole focus is coaching non-actors, dialing in vocal delivery, adjusting body language, managing pacing, and making sure your core value proposition comes across with authority.
Booking & Payment Terms
-
Deposit: A 50% deposit is required upfront to secure your dates on the production calendar.
-
Final Balance: The remaining 50% balance is due on the first day of shooting before equipment is unloaded or cameras roll.
-
Overtime: If a shoot extends past the agreed daily window (3 hours for Product, 5 hours for Startup, 8 hours for Enterprise and Flagship), extra time must be approved in advance and will be billed at standard hourly overtime rates.
Executive Technical & Logisitical Decisions:
To maintain commercial broadcast integrity and ensure every deliverable meets professional production standards, all technical decisions regarding cinematography, videography, camera gear, lighting design, color pipelines, codecs, frame rates, and export quality profiles are made solely at the discretion of the cinematographer.
Additionally, while our production process strictly centers on bringing your vision and marketing objectives to life, any structural, scheduling, or shot-list adjustments made during filming will be implemented by the director and DP only as strictly necessary to overcome logistical challenges, protect quality, and best serve the core concept of the commercial.
